Faced with the challenge of an increased level of home working and an already at capacity VPN solution. The client was worried about the performance of their VPN solution and the productivity of their users.
The client had already made a move to cloud-based services with the adoption of Microsoft 365 and other SaaS offerings however all traffic was routed via the VPN regardless of destination, creating a bottleneck.

Integy identified that the majority of traffic going over the VPN was destined for the internet rather than internal services. If this traffic could be routed out of the client device local internet connection this would result in improved performance of internal services as well as internet services.
Integy partner with a number of vendors that deliver Secure Access Service Edge solutions. After reviewing the requirements thoroughly and running proof of concepts a solution was proposed, that would ensure local breakout of internet-based traffic while maintaining security posture regardless of the device location.
Working with the internal teams Integy implemented the chosen technology, made the required configuration changes, and had all users migrated across within 3 days.
