OneDrive Migration – More Than a Lift and Shift
- The following characters are not allowed in file and folder names: ” * : < > ? / \ |
- The following names are not allowed for files or folders, .lock, CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM0 – COM9, LPT0 – LPT9, _vti_, desktop.ini, any filename starting with ~$
- If you are still using PST files (Why?!), PST files sync less regularly than any other file type
- OneDrive does not support authenticated proxies
- OneNote notebooks have their own sync mechanism outside of OneDrive. OneNote notebooks saved in OneDrive are limited to 2GB
- The entire decoded file path, including the file name, can’t contain more than 400 characters for OneDrive
